Mockingjay Part 1

The Mockingjay part one was quite shocking for me because I guess I had forgotten that Peeta was still captured. I guess part of me thought he was rescued at the end of movie 2. Oppsseee. He was captured and being tortured by the Capital. He would appear nightly in talks with Caesar about how Katniss needs to cease working with the rebellion.

The untimely death Phillip Seymour Hoffman put a wrench in things. They digitally integrated him in the movie. It was quite believable and made me sad, in that he was an amazing actor. I mean his movies hit home!

And Julianne Moore, I hope she never decides to dye her hair gray, she wears it well, but red is her color. As President Alma Coin, she’s vicious and conniving…I hate to say this, but she reminded me of Hilary Clinton…..think about it….

The fighting was good and I have to say that at first I didn’t like song that Lawrence sang, but then it grew on me. It was quite intriguing and proves that good actresses are artists in more than just acting. It’s a good thing she wasn’t tone deaf.

In the end Peeta was freed, but had transformed into a monster… or at least when it comes to Katniss.

So what happened in 2015?

Hmmmm….good question.

I finished my Masters of Arts in English with an emphasis on Creative Writing (Fiction).

I lost my dog of ten years….(she was a rescue dog when I got her and they assume she was at least two or three).

No promotions.

I lost my cat Sebastian….he was a hand me down cat…good times, minus him peeing on the floor…

I self-published my first novel, Twisted Proposal in August….how cool is that!!!

No Vacations

I lost some weight….not as much as I want….it goes back to that motivation thing.

The Hunger Games ended…booo…but I heard they are going to be doing some prequel stuff. Please don’t….that’s all I have to say about that.

Oh and currently I know ten women that are preggo…its crazy!

So….that’s a wrap for now. I can’t wait to see what 2016 has to bring….

New Obsession

Okay so this is a off topic post about my new obsession. It’s an app called Wish. It’s an online store with all sorts of stuff for real cheap. It’s cheap in most part because it’s from overseas. So far I have gotten two shirts, a pack of pens, a dolphin bracelet, and a cute owl bag.

So only one of the shirts didn’t fit. But the clothes in Asia run smaller than in the US. Let’s face it, people are bigger here, I blame the food…lol.

I am waiting for the rest of this to arrive.

Today marks two weeks since I hit upload on my novel. Woot…Sales are stead at 1-2 a day and steady.  I cound this a victory. It’s a hard business to break through the reader barrier. So we shall see.
