The Avengers have really captured the group superhero fighting!!
The storyline was great, the action was even better.
In this installment of the Captain America we begin with the team at odds over signing a document that would prevent the from acting on impulses to fight evil. This comes about when innocent civilians end up dying.
Okay about his…hello how many innocent lives have been lost in the last ten movies the Marvel? Its only now an issue when a prominent figure happens to die…..
Adding to this is the realization that Buckey is alive and still a threat…or is he?
The Captain feels an obligation to keep his friend safe and this in turn splits the Avengers….and a civil war ensues!!
All that aside..we meet some new crime fighting heroes!!! Like Black Panther and Spiderman. Yes Spiderman is back….and he’s a different character!! A younger kid that is reminiscent of Tony Stark….
Its a great movie!!!
This past year we lost a legend who took risks with his music, acting, and even in his personal life.
I had the pleasure of watching and enjoying the Labyrinth in my childhood. If you haven’t seen it, you need to. I can watch this movie anytime….and the music …his voice gets stuck in my head!! He owned the King of the Goblins!! Here’s my favorite song.
Then he resurfaced in my life in the 90’s with Nirvana’s remake of his song, The Man who sold the World….made me remember all the work he’s done in his life.
I know it’s short, but I hope you enjoyed a trip down memory lane!!
Yes, this movie came on while I was at home and couldn’t sleep. I imagine that. It came on after hours.
When I started watching it, I couldn’t help but see the strained acting on the film. Within the first five minutes I was laughing. it reminded me of Twilight. Yes I know it is fan pic of Twilight and I can see it. I kept want to yell at the characters, “Line…line” If you have seen RiffTrax then you will get that.
So anyway, there were parts that were a bit far fetched, but I have to say as the move picked up I found myself annoyed.
First that a girl would be interested in someone that dropped so many domineering lines as Mr. Gray did. And I’m sorry, but if I worked in a Hardware store and someone came in and asked me for cable ties, rope, masking tape….I would so be keeping an eye on the missing persons column in the newspaper.
Dude is creepy! To say he’s a psychopath would be dead wrong, dude is a sociopath He has found his girl and will not let her go. It was like watching a tiger stalking his prey.
Of course I didn’t like the way the movie ended,my sister tells me it’s a lot like the book. I can’t get through the book, it’s painful.
And what’s with this bottom lip biting thing? I have read ten books with the female character doing that. What is it a direct hit to the pants of guys everywhere? I don’t get it…hello chapstick works wonders….
So I’m nit picking…I didn’t like the female actress of Ana, Christian Gray’s character was right on, but that’ll I am going to say about that.
I think I might have to buy the soundtrack there was plenty of great songs. What did you think?
I recorded and will probably watch it again at some point.
I love this movie. At first I thought it was going to be just another feel good movie about family life that it’s realistic. I was wrong I love being wrong
Diane Keaton was great in this movie, a bit like the character from “Because i said So”, it’s a cute movies. But Olivia Wilde, surprised me in this movie, She’s is gorgeous, I mean if I could have those eyes I would although stye would look weird on my face, but moving on. So the movie was real and fucked up, like all families right. I’m being distracted. Okay so the characters in the move are real and can literally be anyone in society. That’s what i liked about it.
We all know of the perfect couple hiding the fact that they have fallen out of love and fighting what they think is the end. Then there are those that in the middle of typing to handle being the divorced parent. Add in sibling rivalry, dreams, and jealously this makes for a good feel movie on epic proportions.
There are secrets and lies for no reason, just because people think that the truth can’t be handled, even though we all know it is just made worse by being kept a secret.
Right? We’ve all heard of the saying that the truth will set you free and it’s true, but a hard pill to swallow.
It’s a story about family and the struggles of new beginnings all centered around Christmas when the feel goods are at their peak.
And yes, Diane Keaton is wearing one of those ridiculous dresses that puff out…
If Leo doesn’t get an academy award for this movie, I’m done with Hollywood. This movie brought me back to the same time that I watched Dances with Wolves, with Kevin Costner. Couple in the vicious raw video footage of….a gruesome bear attack. It’s so intense, but well shot.
It was gritty in all the right places and reminded me again of what the human body is capable of if the will is strong enough. It was also a harsh reminder of the strain relationships between the Native Americans and the white man.
Even though I am thankful for everything I have, a house I rent, the job I loathe, the car that I pay too much for….but all of it…all of it wouldn’t have been possible if the Europeans didn’t lay the framework. I can’t help but wonder if our world wouldn’t be where it is now if instead of killing the Native Americans and Bison, if the Europeans, Spaniards, and whoever else tromped onto America’s soil would have found a way to be friends.. What would have happened if we would have co-existed? Would there be millions of years left? Enough food to go around? Less crime? Less…hatred? This lingered in the back of my head, but it came and went as the movie played out on the screen.
When the credits rolled I was left with the same feeling as Inception. I didn’t know what to think. The one feeling I remember was a strong sense of depression. Depression in that the main characters plight was met with…such bitter sweetness. You’ll know what I mean if you’ve seen it.
It’s a great movie!! I grimaced, felt like crying, gawked at the ceiling, and felt sick. I love movies that take me on a wild ride and like I said at the beginning, he had better win an Oscar.
Did you know that Kevin Spacey is a crooner?
How awesome is that? Okay I am sure I knew this somewhere in my memory, but just recently I have fallen into this Dean Martin, Cole Porter, and Frank Sinatra kick at work. It reminds me to relax and remember the good things in life. It wasn’t that life wasn’t busy back then. It was, but people were different. I guess in some sense their world was dived for them and they just merely went thru the motions. Now there’s no decision made for you. I mean you still have the basics….like if you a minor you go to school and don’t drink, stuff like that. What I am talking about it is more of the social constructs. They are a lot looser than they were back then.
I hope that makes sense.
Enjoy some Kevin Spacey…as he takes us on a trip…By The Sea
