Plan, plan….and more planning

Yes I am one of those people who live from lists.

I love them. I love creating them. I love reading them.

I also love doodling….that is why the bullet journal works for me!

And this weekend at work I was going through the one I had created not feeling good about anything I”d done and bam decided I needed a change.

I added to stop doing what everyone else is going and do what I like and what gets me.

So next week I am going to brave the internet and post my bullet journal.

I have to say that I went to Target and in their Dollar bin they have amazing products.

Stickers, journals, markers, and post it notes all ready for the fall!!! I love them. Plus I don’t have to wait for them to ship!

So get ready!! It’s going to be fun!

Bullet Journaling

Have you seen it? Heard about it? Tried it?

OMG!! I am addicted!!!

I suffer from planning, making lists, and doodling!!

This is perfect for me. I have gone through two books…I also suffer from perfection syndrome.

But I gave that up…okay I’m working on that! I have a master bullet journal and a smaller companion one!! The master one holds, my writing, personal, and workout journals. My travel journal…..well I can take my collections and lists with me.

So if your interested here are some of my favorites online….

The beginning!!!

Start here!

Now step it up a notch!!!

Red Queen Review

When I first pick the book up I wasn’t impressed. It reminded me of Cinder and how it started.

Both books were slow to start…but when it picked up …it really picked up.

Such a great book@ The author had a way of taking me into her world and filling my mind with new ideas. I am working on my first elemental fantasy book. I will keep you posted.

So back to the great book. It centers around a girl who finds out she’s special….I”m not going to give it away….but in the world where Mare lives, everything depends on the color of blood that pulses through your veins.

Those that have silver blood are powerful, rich, mean, and scary. This is where I thought my brain was going to explode with he different types of silvers. It’s almost too much.  There are so many different types of silver to keep track of!! I loved it and hated it at the same time.

Overall, I think the characters are believable and real, the twists and turns were right up there. I loved it1!!

You should take a read!! Now onto Delirium….

Take a peek!!!

I’m Back!!

Self published book 2…Twisted Desire, finished draft of A Girl from Thailand….and working on my dystopian novel, Frost.

Busy busy…what about you?

A to Z Challenge

Accepted!

This year however, I am going to try do something different. I am a sucker for a good movie and lord knows there are some good ones out there.

Any ideas of what I should blog a to z about? Animals, books, cars? Or better yet, flower, countries or authors?

Mockingjay Part 2

I remember walking into the theater with bittersweet feelings, in that it was the last installment of The Hunger Games, or should have been…I have recently heard a discussion about them making another Hunger Games as sort of a prequel. I wish they wouldn’t, but know they will. I don’t want to see a prequel. That is like Twilight having a Prequel LAME!!

I say this but I will probably flock to the theater with the thousands of others to watch it under protest.

So the movie was everything I wanted and more. I loved the scenes in the capital and the realization by Katniss that Gale is a weapons mastermind. I won’t say more than that, just in case someone hasn’t seen it yet or read the book.

It takes you on an emotional rollercoaster! Get ready. I was satisfied with the final installment of The Hunger Games and I am looking forward to more young adult books being changed into movies.

What did you think?

The Hunger Games: Review

When I first heard that Jennifer Lawrence was cast as Katniss Everdeen I didn’t see it. I had known that Lawrence was used to playing bad ass girl characters, with her role in The Poker House, and Winter’s Bone. She is tough and a damn good actress. I was excited to see how things turned out. After the movie I remember feeling giddy with excitement. I can’t wait for the next movie to come out. Not only was her part good, but the role of Peeta Malark was casted well with Josh Hutchinson. Over all I gave it a five out of five. Art of me wishes that there was more violence and gore, like the book, but I understand why the directors decided to go that route. It’s so they could get more viewers without having to have the added drag of R ratings.

That being said, I don’t feel that the story is appropriate for grade school children. I mean it’s just too much, they don’t need that. Let them read Charlotte’s Web or The Box car Children. No need to bring in blood and gore, they get that enough at home.

So what happened in 2015?

Hmmmm….good question.

I finished my Masters of Arts in English with an emphasis on Creative Writing (Fiction).

I lost my dog of ten years….(she was a rescue dog when I got her and they assume she was at least two or three).

No promotions.

I lost my cat Sebastian….he was a hand me down cat…good times, minus him peeing on the floor…

I self-published my first novel, Twisted Proposal in August….how cool is that!!!

No Vacations

I lost some weight….not as much as I want….it goes back to that motivation thing.

The Hunger Games ended…booo…but I heard they are going to be doing some prequel stuff. Please don’t….that’s all I have to say about that.

Oh and currently I know ten women that are preggo…its crazy!

So….that’s a wrap for now. I can’t wait to see what 2016 has to bring….

Self-Doubt

Every hear something or read something on Facebook that hits you right in the gut and makes you think that you’re not good enough. It’s that small voice of doubt that gets louder and louder as the day goes by. If you are like me, it debilitates you. I come home from my day job and instead of working out or writing, I go to bed. Why? Because I don’t think my story should be heard. It’s not real, it’s made up and at times boring. I know as a writer I shouldn’t say that my own writing is boring. It’s just how I feel.

I know that it’s not true. I envy those people that can write whatever they wish and put it out there for the world to see. I know that I can overcome these feelings of doubt, but don’t. It’s not that I like to self loathe, just sometimes it’s comforting. Does that make sense?

I need to kick this habit in the butt!

I really do.

So do you!

I know you want your writing to move forward and sitting or lying around in my case is NOT helping the situation. I need to be proactive. I need to grab the day by its balls and fight for what I want. What do I want? I want to be a successful writer. How do I define success? Easy I want at least 5000 people to read my book and 20 reviews.

I’m almost there….if I count the freebies….I want to make people laugh, get mad, and most of all I want people to read my stories

So….what’s my game plan?

I don’t know yet…but I will let you know when I do.
