Today was a Good Day

Today progress was made on the writing front. I wrote over 5,000 words on the novella that follows up Twisted Proposal. I am going to step away from it for a week to allow my brain time to think. This is also allow me to think of different ways to develop a story. In order to be considered a novella, it has to at least be 15,000 words. I have 1/3 written.

Zumba was a go tonight. Surprise I took a week off. I would check out clubfitzfitness, if you haven’t already done so. Especially if you like to dance. Today I did 22 videos woot woot!! I am planning on going to the gym tomorrow, but we will see what happens!!  Wish me luck.

In other news, my father is coming down tomorrow and is going to stay for the remainder of the wee. It should be fun!! I hope he doesn’t get bored. I won’t be home much. I work 12 hour shifts everyday :(. I might even work on Saturday. Gotta make sure my check is big!! 🙂

I hope everyone has a good week!

Just For Fun!!

If you are looking for a new way to work out, check these ladies out on Youtube!! Enjoy!!

And yoga too!!

This Week

This week plan on creating blogs on both blogs, marketing my upcoming e-book (any advice would be greatly appreciated it), and wrapping projects up.

On the Writing Block:

Finish Twisted Desire, book 2 of my Twisted Series. This is merely a revision. Once it’s finished I can start the beta reading process and editing as well.

Finish writing book 2 of my Catalyst series. I am about one third done.

Read through TGB book project. Once this is done I can send it to the editor.

Put together a list of projects I need to put together. I am hoping to publish a collection of short stories sometime this year, I am still writing them. The collection is entitled The Reaper.

In other news I plan on going to the gym four times and adding zumba back into my life at least 3 times. Oh and yoga, I need to do yoga.

What’s in plan for this week?

Catching Up

So I just finished a 24 day challenge by Advocare!! Lost 12 inches and 5 pounds. How awesome is that? I have also beefed up my working out schedule to including the gym. This week I am going to work on implementing Zumba and Yoga into my gym schedule. Today I spend an hour walking on the treadmill and almost burned 500 calories. Now I don’t know about you, but I am one of those unfortunate people that reach a certain point and pour sweat!!! It’s crazy!!

In other news I am getting ready to start my 4th week of class. Yikes!!! It’s another thing that’s getting real. Soon I will be graduated!! With a Master’s!! What will I do then?  I mean….I work in Billing which is nothing I went to college for (psychology and sociology)

I recently finished a book, The Girl on The Train….if you liked Gone Girl you will love this book. It keeps you on the edge of your seat and the characters are relatable. Check it out!! I am going to write a review via goodreads and post a link later. Also I started reading The Martian. It has been made into a movie staring the great Matt Damon. If you read this book he’s perfect for the role. I hope they don’t mess up the writer’s integrity!! We all know how Hollywood can botch a good book!!

I”m excited for the upcoming weeks!! Publishing book, marketing said book, and even just logging in see that one sale will fly me to the moon!!!

What’s going on in your world?

Progress Report

On the plus side I managed five days of working out!! Woot woot, thank goodness for exercise videos on youtube. I am still able to do my group exercises. This ia great because I don’t drive due to my limited vision. I also managed yoga twice this week.

I am taking the day off to watch some kids and I plan on attempted pilates and yoga tomorrow.

In my writing world, I focused on editing book two and thanks to The Kingsmen, the movie, I drafted nine novellas. How awesome is that? I love getting inspired by watching good movies.

I have been actively posting and interacting with lots of other indie publishers. I am learning alot, so if you want some free advice head on over to http://www.kboards.com. You can post questions and get real answers. Not saying that other forums aren’t but these people have published.

I have found lots of good advice about my cover, it has helped me alot. I plan on posting at least two blogs this upcoming week and eventually making a schedule of sorts.

Wish me luck and thanks for reading.

Another Day …another buck

I was late for work, thanks to the ice covered roads. Don’t get me wrong I do appreciate the plow guys and the salt trucks, but it still sucks. I think there should be a ban on all utility companies. When there is bad weather you can work from home. Imagine what I could get done!!

It was harder than heck to get motivated yesterday. Yes it was the second glorious day that I was off work and did whatever I wanted around the house. I turned out to be highly productive in the morning, but by lunch time I was done for the day. I was useless. I don’t know why, nothing seemed worth doing.

So I ate lunch thinking that would give me energy, nope. Thankfully some helpful neighbors down the way cleared out driveway for us so we didn’t have to deal with that. Granted we did pay them, but I feel it was worth it.  That just added to the laziness of the day.

Naps were taken and when we got up we decided to get out of the house. My girlfriend left her phone at her sister’s house so we went there first and then went to Walgreens, mecca of everything. Necessities were picked up along with We are the Millers and The Heat from the Red Box machine.

When we got home I literally forced myself to work out via a 20 DVD of Zumba that I had found. I was just not in the mood, but I did it. Then had supper and settled in for a 3.5 hour movie marathon. Overall I would say that We are the Millers was funnier than the heat. I wished they would have incorporated the Miss Congeniality movies in with this one, it may have been funnier. Plus let that McCarthy chick play more than one role. She’s already type casted. This sucks for her.  She’s a great actress I just know it.

In my writing world, not much to report other than I found a few more story ideas while cleaning the study. I can’t wait to begin reading over the material. Also I am going to work on editing chapter 1 or JD just in case JP takes off.

Oh and I have a ton of homework to complete as well. I guess  I should be doing that instead of this…hmmmm…nah.

Welcome to the Ice House

So what does this mean? It’s simple it’s means I stayed home and I am going to do alot of writing today. Or i plan to! I hope. I have had one cup of coffee down and have checked my inbox and filtered through the important news. I even posted an excerpt from one of the stories I wrote a few years back for NANO month. I have completed three years so far. What about you? If you don’t know it’s National Novel Writing month and it happens in November! You have a month to write 50,000 words. I am thinking about taking this to the next level and choosing 3 months out of the year and writing a novel each month. What do you think? I think I can do it can you?

Okay so in other news, I started the 12 week challenge with my awesome coach Ginger who is there to support me. It’s a program through the Medi-Fast diet plan. You should check it out. seems easy enough.

I finally cleaned out my office now I need to get some plastic to put on the windows in there. It’s freezing. It’s the only room in the house that has poor heat circulation! Got any ideas, please let me know.

Oh and I am going to do some ZUMBA today. I thought I had let my mom borrow all of my DVDs because she begged and pleaded for them. I miss my morning classes with the lovely Heather at Nautilus, but it conflicts with my work schedule!  I will make this happen. I will post tomorrow if it happened or not.

Oh and a new app to download to keep you in check about logging your food and such is called PACT. You have log your food and exercise. If you don’t you pay. Literally! They will take money out of your account. There is no excuse to be lazy anymore. It will cost you. In turn if you keep your pact they reward you with cash. So I have signed up to simply log my food.  Check it out its in your local app store.

So that’s all for Monday check in! I’ll see you tomorrow.

Oh and I started semester six at Southern New Hampshire University’s online program!! I am seeking my Bachelor of English. It will be my third Bachelor’s degree, but hopefully I will be able to use this degree unlike the others.
