This Week

This week plan on creating blogs on both blogs, marketing my upcoming e-book (any advice would be greatly appreciated it), and wrapping projects up.

On the Writing Block:

Finish Twisted Desire, book 2 of my Twisted Series. This is merely a revision. Once it’s finished I can start the beta reading process and editing as well.

Finish writing book 2 of my Catalyst series. I am about one third done.

Read through TGB book project. Once this is done I can send it to the editor.

Put together a list of projects I need to put together. I am hoping to publish a collection of short stories sometime this year, I am still writing them. The collection is entitled The Reaper.

In other news I plan on going to the gym four times and adding zumba back into my life at least 3 times. Oh and yoga, I need to do yoga.

Catching Up

So I just finished a 24 day challenge by Advocare!! Lost 12 inches and 5 pounds. How awesome is that? I have also beefed up my working out schedule to including the gym. This week I am going to work on implementing Zumba and Yoga into my gym schedule. Today I spend an hour walking on the treadmill and almost burned 500 calories. Now I don’t know about you, but I am one of those unfortunate people that reach a certain point and pour sweat!!! It’s crazy!!

In other news I am getting ready to start my 4th week of class. Yikes!!! It’s another thing that’s getting real. Soon I will be graduated!! With a Master’s!! What will I do then?  I mean….I work in Billing which is nothing I went to college for (psychology and sociology)

I recently finished a book, The Girl on The Train….if you liked Gone Girl you will love this book. It keeps you on the edge of your seat and the characters are relatable. Check it out!! I am going to write a review via goodreads and post a link later. Also I started reading The Martian. It has been made into a movie staring the great Matt Damon. If you read this book he’s perfect for the role. I hope they don’t mess up the writer’s integrity!! We all know how Hollywood can botch a good book!!

I”m excited for the upcoming weeks!! Publishing book, marketing said book, and even just logging in see that one sale will fly me to the moon!!!

Progress Report

On the plus side I managed five days of working out!! Woot woot, thank goodness for exercise videos on youtube. I am still able to do my group exercises. This ia great because I don’t drive due to my limited vision. I also managed yoga twice this week.

I am taking the day off to watch some kids and I plan on attempted pilates and yoga tomorrow.

In my writing world, I focused on editing book two and thanks to The Kingsmen, the movie, I drafted nine novellas. How awesome is that? I love getting inspired by watching good movies.

I have been actively posting and interacting with lots of other indie publishers. I am learning alot, so if you want some free advice head on over to http://www.kboards.com. You can post questions and get real answers. Not saying that other forums aren’t but these people have published.

I have found lots of good advice about my cover, it has helped me alot. I plan on posting at least two blogs this upcoming week and eventually making a schedule of sorts.

Writing Woes

So the yoga lasted two days….I am going to give it a shot again this week. Also I plan on picking up my Zumba. Last week was a bit of a wash for me.

I posted up my potential cover on a writing forum and essentially it tanked. No one was mean or anything like that, lots of good constructive criticism. There was also concern about the title, which I was thinking of changing anyway. There are just too many Jaded out there.

So I have been playing around with Photoshop. It is so fricken hard. I think they need to scale back on the icons. However I did find several useful YouTube videos that at least got me started. I might play around with it today, we’ll see.

I have been slacking on the school thing too. I think I fell into a slump, but I’m coming out of it today. I swear! I have to respond to two students discussion, submit five pages of a short story I have to write for my sci fi class, and submit a short for my other fiction writing class. I have already written the story so that’s merely a revision.

I also need to write at least 1000 words and unfortunately this blog doesn’t count.

So in short today will be productive….I hope.

And the week begins…..

Today I embarked on my Yoga Journey. I found this awesome video, Yoga with Adrienne. She’s thorough and doesn’t try to force you into poses. I am going to try to do the routine every day this week. I went to work so relaxed and calm, which was needed because I am taking phone calls today instead of doing my usual billing work.  I’ll let you know how it goes.

In other news I have to submit the first five pages of my epic short sci fi novel that I have to create. Um…I have started this, but I have to say that short stories are hard for me. I tend to want to write more and more. So I decided to use the world of a story I have already created for a novel of mine and create brand new characters, but still keep my novel characters as well. So it’s a subset of my novel. I hope it makes sense. I am hoping this class will propel me into finishing my sci fi novels. I have about four of them just sitting on my computer collecting dust…errrr….cyberspace dust.  Is that even a thing?

I plan on editing one page of book 2 of my Addison series and do more marketing research for my self-publishing journey. I might even start writing a new story. I have lots of ideas floating around in my head.

And lastly I plan on doing Zumba A on my playlist today.

I’ll report back if I accomplish all of this.
