Catching Up

So I just finished a 24 day challenge by Advocare!! Lost 12 inches and 5 pounds. How awesome is that? I have also beefed up my working out schedule to including the gym. This week I am going to work on implementing Zumba and Yoga into my gym schedule. Today I spend an hour walking on the treadmill and almost burned 500 calories. Now I don’t know about you, but I am one of those unfortunate people that reach a certain point and pour sweat!!! It’s crazy!!

In other news I am getting ready to start my 4th week of class. Yikes!!! It’s another thing that’s getting real. Soon I will be graduated!! With a Master’s!! What will I do then?  I mean….I work in Billing which is nothing I went to college for (psychology and sociology)

I recently finished a book, The Girl on The Train….if you liked Gone Girl you will love this book. It keeps you on the edge of your seat and the characters are relatable. Check it out!! I am going to write a review via goodreads and post a link later. Also I started reading The Martian. It has been made into a movie staring the great Matt Damon. If you read this book he’s perfect for the role. I hope they don’t mess up the writer’s integrity!! We all know how Hollywood can botch a good book!!

I”m excited for the upcoming weeks!! Publishing book, marketing said book, and even just logging in see that one sale will fly me to the moon!!!

What’s going on in your world?

The Game Plan

I woke up with my throat on fire, but I guess that’s normal being my tonsils have only been out for a week. I go back to work on Wednesday of this week. How much do I wish that writing was a full time job. Someday…I hope.

so here’s the game plan. I have completed everything I have on book 2 of the Jaded series. This is great because now I can focus on editing The Girl from Bangkok. I think this book has a lot of potential.

So I have about fifteen pieces wot completely gut and edit. I am up for the challenge. I have found out from reading Kboards that in order to remain popular you have to have a book out every few months or so. So I am hoping to at least have six completed and edited pieces before I publish book one. This will give me time to write more and edit as well.

What’s your game plan? Oh I also plan on participating in the Flash Fiction Challenge and Camp Nano again. I didn’t complete it last time, but I am determined to in July.

As per usual I plan on writing more on my blog and finding more followers. If you know of any blog challenges let me know. I would love to participate in them.

And the week begins…..

Today I embarked on my Yoga Journey. I found this awesome video, Yoga with Adrienne. She’s thorough and doesn’t try to force you into poses. I am going to try to do the routine every day this week. I went to work so relaxed and calm, which was needed because I am taking phone calls today instead of doing my usual billing work.  I’ll let you know how it goes.

In other news I have to submit the first five pages of my epic short sci fi novel that I have to create. Um…I have started this, but I have to say that short stories are hard for me. I tend to want to write more and more. So I decided to use the world of a story I have already created for a novel of mine and create brand new characters, but still keep my novel characters as well. So it’s a subset of my novel. I hope it makes sense. I am hoping this class will propel me into finishing my sci fi novels. I have about four of them just sitting on my computer collecting dust…errrr….cyberspace dust.  Is that even a thing?

I plan on editing one page of book 2 of my Addison series and do more marketing research for my self-publishing journey. I might even start writing a new story. I have lots of ideas floating around in my head.

And lastly I plan on doing Zumba A on my playlist today.

I’ll report back if I accomplish all of this.

Friday

Well another week has come to end.

I wrote a boxing script for class and I think it turned out pretty good. We are finished eith our analysis of the hurt locker and focusing on another great film, American beauty. I love this film and can’t wait to write about it.

As for my other class I am focusing on the lovely and very boring Faulkner! It’s getting better towards the end though. We are suppose to be looking about this story and how it relates to race. There is one scene that involves another race.

As for the contest update, I have heard from the short story challenge. I didnt make it ti round two, but a good friend of mine did, no word on FFF contest and the Serendipity. Maybe next week.

In other news April is going to be very exciting. We have to A to Z challenge and Camp Nano!! I hope I get in a good cabin of fun writers!! Also I songed up to be a part of the SNHU Alumni board. Woot woot!!

Well thats all for now folks.

Originality

Good morning!!

Last night I had the privilege of going to the movies to see Big Hero 6! I loved the movie! Sure there were a couple of hiccups but it was original and that was nice!

So new semester starts Monday ad am I prepared, that would be a negative! I am so not prepared! I meed to read and write a lot more!

Today after work I am going to go have a play date with my Haylie bug and we are going to color and play problems. Then I plan on going home, clean and the heading to my friend’s house to hang out, color and eat. It’s suppose to snow tonight. This will be great for tea and editing!!

So I plan on writing oh about 12k between now and Monday! Where are you? What are you listening too?
