The Avengers have really captured the group superhero fighting!!
The storyline was great, the action was even better.
In this installment of the Captain America we begin with the team at odds over signing a document that would prevent the from acting on impulses to fight evil. This comes about when innocent civilians end up dying.
Okay about his…hello how many innocent lives have been lost in the last ten movies the Marvel? Its only now an issue when a prominent figure happens to die…..
Adding to this is the realization that Buckey is alive and still a threat…or is he?
The Captain feels an obligation to keep his friend safe and this in turn splits the Avengers….and a civil war ensues!!
All that aside..we meet some new crime fighting heroes!!! Like Black Panther and Spiderman. Yes Spiderman is back….and he’s a different character!! A younger kid that is reminiscent of Tony Stark….
Its a great movie!!!
If I didn’t have the friends I did, I wouldn’t be here. I know it. There are those few that I can call on no matter what’s going on, they will drop everything to lend an ear. I do the same for them.
There are friends that just take you away from the reality of the world and make you realize how good you have it. They make you laugh and say stupid stuff. They get you and never judge.
There are those people that you can’t wait to see to tell things too on a daily basis!
Friends are awesome, I hope you have some peeps like this!
I must say that I am quite surprised by this book. When I first laid eyes on it, the semi-thin bright green cover piqued my interest. Then when I saw that it was the movie that Hermionie Granger, aka Emma Watson was in I knew that I wanted to read it as well as watch it.
So I dove right in not even knowing what to expect. First I didn’t know if I liked the way the book was organized with the letter format, but it quickly grew on me. I found myself right there with Charlie when he told Sam that she was beautiful and in the room with Patrick and Brad. I found myself rooting for Charlie when he saved Patrick from the jocks and the felt the pain of rejection when he messed up with Mary Elizabeth. The best part about the book was that I didn’t even know I was being sucked in until I finished the book in less than six hours. And it happened to be the first book I have finished of the year. I can’t wait for there to be more. I am reading The Secret Garden on the Kindle, but back to the story.
I loved this book for so many reason. First that Charlie was such a unique character and they way he thought about things or saw things that people didn’t want him to see. It just made me like him that much more. I like the animosity of Sam and Patrick. It’s like he just randomly met them one day at a football game. They were always there from the beginning, but fate told them to take a chance on Charlie. And they listened and did.
So it’s going to be hard to find anything that compares to this novel, but I will do my damndest to try.
So this weeks was quite successeful I think.
Here’s a brief recap:
Friday night I got off work and went home ate supper and went to bed. i was too excited for Nano to start. The following day I got up and went to work from 6am to 11am. I returned home to find that the house was a wreck, so I cleaned ate, an finished homework before diving into day one of writing.
I was able to 1344 words before leaving and heading out to a friends in the country for a bonfire and chili. it was tasty good and I overindulged and had 6 glasses of wine. Yes I felt it in the morning. It was rough, but that didn’t sop me from writing. I made a strong pot of coffee and then wrote until I had to go to the store.
By the time I returned home i was time for my lunch date with friends. We chatted and made a Norwegian dish called noodles and sausage. We also watched this new cartoon on Disney XD called Gravity Falls. it’s quite hilarious and outside of what the typical Disney show is. I would check it out. It reminds me of Rick and Morty. I know right, I was shocked too, but if you like Louise from Bob’s Burger’s then you’ll love this show because she does the voice of Mabel one of the main characters.
When my friends left and girlfriend went to work, I started writing again and put on some background noise courtesy of Shrek an The Proposal. If you haven’t seen The Proposal, you need to. It’s a great love story with Ryan Reynolds and Sandra Bullock where she plays an Editor. It’s quite funny, here’s a clip.
Well it’s Monday and I have a full schedule: 2 20 page papers to edit and have ready to turn in on Sunday, plus nano writing and the start of a new semester of classes.
What’s your week look like?
So many times throughout life we forget what is really important and really matters.
Today I am going to share with you a few things that I am truly thankful for.
First and foremost family. This includes biological family and my friends. They are there for me when I pick up the phone to chat, bitch, whine, and even cry. They don’t judge me, but tell me how it really is, even when I don’t want to hear it. They watch out for me. They respect me and my girlfriend, again even though they may not agree with our decisions. They help me when they can, this even includes a simple text with valuable information. They inspire me to be a better person. They work with me and push me to do things I would otherwise not do. I love you guys!!
And then I am thankful for having the gift of writing, even though sometime it might now make sense. I love that ideas hit me in the middle of the night and my hands ache until I have a computer under them or a pen in my hand. I love that soon I will be able to share my work with the world via self -publishing. I love that this option is available.
Oh and a bonus, I am so thankful for GOOD actors and actress. I say this because I can put a face to my characters.
What are you thankful for?
Oh and who are you rooting for in today’s football match-ups?
